Peggle arrives on the iPhone, for under $5.

That’s a hell of a deal. Popcap announced today that Peggle, the ridiculous smash hit for about every system known to man, has finally reached the iPhone.

Launched in March of 2007, the Peggle Franchise has been downloaded over 45 million times just on the web. This multi award winning game is also available on Mac, Web, video iPod, 650 models of mobile feature phones and smartphones, Nintendo DS, PS3 and Xbox Live Arcade.
New features for the iPhone include a new “Zoom” mode for super accurate shots, an aiming wheel to help optimize the touch control for the iPhone, and trophy system. Everyone is achievement happy anymore.

The only downside to this is that at the moment there isn’t a lite version of the game. I would download it myself but that would be my 3rd copy of the game, 4th if you count Peggle Nights. But $4.99 for the most causal of games that you can take with you, with incredible replay value, AND wonderful visuals? One the better values in the App Store in my opinion.
