“Let’s Golf” for the iPhone review.

Although I have never swung a golf club in my life, I, for some reason or another, have a thing for golf games.  Let’s play golf is, without a doubt, one of the best games available for the iPhone to date.

All of this for a $1.99 as well? Yep! Let’s play golf brings a whole hell of a lot of game to the iPhone for such a cheap price.  With different game modes ranging from your standard tournament to, to quick play and multiplayer, Gameloft really covered all of the bases.

You are given the choice of 4 different golfers, 2 guys and 2 girls, all with a different balance of power, short game and so on.  There are 4 different beautiful worldwide golf courses available as well, each with their own set of challenges to offer.

A lush 3d environment will keep your coming back for more than just a quick round on the busride home.

Let’s get to the game play.  As with most golf games, LPG uses the standard 3 point swing system which seems to work pretty good, although there seems to be a little bit of a delay in touch detection, but this is easy to get used to as the swing system seems to realize this an helps compensate.  The putting works much the same way.

What We Loved:

- The Game is beautiful, top notch PS2 level Graphics

- The wide variety of game modes, characters, and courses.

- THE PRICE!!!

What We Didn’t Love:

- The only thing that I can really think of is that the touch detection and sometimes the game it self (if playing on an iPhone, not the iPod) can be mildly laggy.

img_0438In short, I don’t care for sports games.  But I love golf especially the less serious ones and this takes a lot from its Mario and Hot Shots Counterpart.  Even if you don’t like golfing so much, give this one a try. Hey, if you don’t like it, your out a $1.99, but I don’t feel like that will be a very wide spread opinion

Amazing review, for $1.99 it seems like a hands down bargain.
