Brandy’s Weekly Randolist: 10 Things for Every Gamer’s Home
This week for my random list of a few things to assure me that the geeks/nerds of the world are still alive and strong, I rounded up a couple of things I stumbled upon and found to be way cool. I know there are thousands of things out there for your home, but these are the ones I feel, as a gamer, that are super geeky/must haves for my eventual 18-bedroom castle I hope to one day own. (Also in this castle there will be an entire floor dedicated to being an arcade room, a beef jerky dispenser, and a full staff dressed as peasants from medieval times at all times- that’s another story though.) Here are my top 10 items of choice for this week, in no particular order.
1. Up first, probably the cutest thing ever, a Duck Hunt inspired lamp. This little number is courtesy o’ crafster.org, and made from a NES zapper, a scale model replica of the original Duck Hunt cartridge, and some foam. So simple- yet SUPER awesome.

2. Now- what geeky bedroom would be complete with out these? A matching set of Mario and Luigi dressers from semifrank and spritestitch.com. These are hand painted and super cute.

3. Keeping with the bedroom area, and Mario Bros, this next item is something I seriously intend on owning. Whatisblik.com offers tons and tons of wall art you can buy, and it’s even removable. For $75 you get 36 pieces that will make any room in the house a thousand times cooler. And you can get the original Donkey Kong version too!
4. To also complete the kitchen, there are a couple of different Pacman related things that are a must-have. The one that caught my eye most in the Pacman category is the oven mitt! It’s so handy, and it’s made out silicone and he’s only $12! Bonus: the inside of his mouth looks like a Pacman level!

5. I absolutely love this next item- er, items I should say. I am still not sure how all of this stuff stays on the shelves, but they are still a must have. For any retro video game lover, or any Donkey Kong fan, these shelves are just plain cool.
6. Let’s move into the living room/game room area. I am going to try to do something later on about coffee tables, because for some reason there are TONS of awesome geeky coffee tables out there… so I’ll skip it for now. But for my gamer chair- it will need an ottoman. This is quite possibly my only choice. It’s a Super Mario Bros inspired ottoman!
7. For all of you hardcore Zelda fans out there who also spend a lot of time in the kitchen- this is for you. I thought the Triforce had already been plastered and re-produced into everything imaginable from tattoos, to belt buckles- you name it. And then I found this- a Triforce cutting board. What kitchen wouldn’t become 100Xs cooler with this sitting on the counter?
8. One of my personal favorites is this set of delicious furniture. My favorite style/design was created by Diego Silverio from Brazil. It is all multi-functional, and can all be rearranged and fitted together! I will have this furniture in my castle one day.
9. This one is just really cool. Just in case you don’t recognize this awesome little number it’s a Fallout tribute. It’s a Pip-Boy clock for any room of the house. It’s simple, and has a nice digital read out.
10. The last, and certainly not least on the list: a Nintendo house. I don’t know how many of you knew about this already, but I didn’t, and it’s one of the coolest effing things I have ever seen. It was built by a bunch of nerdy frat guys at Carnegie Melon for their spring festival from what I gather… and it is structurally sound, and decked out on the inside as well.
That’s it for this week, hope you enjoyed and look out for next week’s randolist! The only rule for this list is that it has to be video game related, so if anyone has any other things for the list, or ideas, leave me comments!

O love that 80s feel Super Mario bros background while playing the game itself. Would be great to paint my gaming room with BATTLE CITY too
