Beatles Rock Band Goes For The Lead In Music Video Game Sales
Everybody was on the edge of their seats to see who would come out on top in the music genre; Beatles Rock Band or Guitar Hero 5 (throw in Van Halen in the mix as well). Well, the results came in with the winner going to the fab-four Beatles. The game holds the #2 spot of total revenue in the U.S. for the month of September. In addition to all these impressive numbers, over 100K downloads of the hit song “All You Need Is Love” were sold in September.

The game was a labor of love for the teams at Apple Corps, MTV Games and Harmonix and seeing it resonate across generations the world over is truly priceless.”
I could go into the rant about how this genre is being milked to death, but the Beatles Rock Band really brought some true work with it. Now all we have left for this year is Band Hero, DJ Hero, Lego Rock Band, and probably a bunch others that I’m forgetting about because they will be forgettable one year from now when the sequels come out…
