Avatar changes I’d Like to See

So, let me guess: you don’t like your avatar. Or, maybe you think they look just like you, but the clothes are off. Maybe you just wish there were actually cool clothes. I’m kinda all of the above, so I’ve compiled a list of things I want to see happen with Avatars. Microsoft, if you’re reading, please take note.

Better Props

What is this crap? A chicken pulley from Secret of monkey Island? Really? These props suck. More than two-thirds of the props are totally lame. I mean, the Lightsaber is awesome and the UAV is kinda cool, but does anyone really want a little cell phone that your Avatar texts on? There are even cool props, but with terrible animations. If I’m going to shell out a bunch of money on these bad boys, I want my avatar to do more than look at them. When I first heard about these props, I expected stuff like the rocket launcher from Halo or the Lancer from Gears of War. Gun props would sell so well, and there could even be some kind of parental control. Additionally, the option to either pull up props after pressing a button, or have them be up all the time, would greatly improve them. If my Avatar could just hold that prop instead of it magically appearing and disappearing, it’d be so awesome. Or if I could choose when he uses the prop, it’d be cool.

Better animations

I got tired of seeing the same damn stupid wave my avatar does after the second or third time. How about animations that correspond to the clothes you’re wearing? Like, buying the Sam Fisher outfit, and having your Avatar sneak around. That would be cool. Or customizable emoticons, and being able to choose what actions your Avatar does.

Customizable clothes

How about being able to decide how you wear your clothes? For instance, I might want that cool new hoodie from the marketplace, but it looks stupid with the hood up. It’d certainly be awesome if i could pop the collar on that jacket. I want that outfit (above), but without the dumb mask on all the time.

Outfits we actually want

I was shocked to find that 2 days after the game was released, there were no Beatles: Rock Band clothes. All I wanted was Ringo’s jacket from Sgt. Pepper’s, but instead I found some crappy filler. Why can’t there be Avatar clothes for such major titles? Star Wars: The Clone Wars gets its own clothes, yet there’s nothing for Marvel Ulitmate Alliance 2? How about Master Chief’s Armor? The one outfit I was so sure would be available (he’s practically the Xbox’s Mascot) was nowhere to be found.

Better Prices

Now, I know that the dudes at Microsoft are some greedy bastards, but this is ridiculous. 160 points for Shoes? Shoes? I’m speechless. Most Props are 160-240, and most complete outfits can go as high as 400. Whatever happened to the free clothes that came out every week? Huh? Come on; get off your gold-plated high horse and give us a fucking break.

So, that’s all I have to say about that. There’s plenty more I could complain about, but these are the things I want changed right now. Knowing Microsoft, however, I definitely realize that these changes will probably never happen. Oh well, back to my mostly lame avatar.
