My Nominations for Game of the Year
Lets be honest, at this point its pretty clear Uncharted 2 will nab Game of the Year this time around, and rightfully so. The game pretty much re-sparked the adventure into games, was gorgeous and suspenseful all the way through and without any major faults. In the meantime though, there are a couple of other games whom deserve a little nod of the head.

Secretly, Demon’s Souls is my true Game of the Year. An RPG players dream and dungeon crawling perfected, I can not get enough of this game. It used online in creative new ways that had never really been seen quite like that, and offers players a challenge for a change. Truly at least the best RPG this year, even if Dragon Age is nipping at its toes.
Surprisingly enough, I’ll also be throwing up Assassins Creed II into my list as well. I hated the first one, but this one was enjoyable and the technology that must be behind that sort of game play has to be pretty amazing. Graphics are for the most part gorgeous (the people look off to me in cut scenes). What did turn me off of it a little is that the only really stealth system is climbing and crowds, no cover, or hiding system (beyond the hiding places scattered throughout the world) to go along with it . Overall though I think Assassins Creed is a worthy addition.
So those are my personal choices this year, although I think Uncharted will be Game of the Year, Demon’s Souls is nipping at its heels with Assassins Creed II not far behind.

I would have to agree hands-down with Uncharted 2, though being an EU resident, I haven't been lucky enough to grab a copy of Demon's Souls, but hopefully the critics will recognise it during the GOTY ceremonies.
No MW2? You've got to be kidding me.
Didn't like the first, and haven't played the second because I'm sure there enough alike for me to not like it either. Since this is my nominations, I didn't put it in there, although its obviously a big competitor for the title.
