Rumor: New NBA Jam coming from EA

Rumors have been flying and ESPN reports that EA sports has acquired the NBA Jam license and is working on a new NBA Jam. The catch is that according to the report it is only going to be available on the Wii. Although, there are other reports which suggest the game will also get the XBLA and PSN treatment along with a Wii retail release. The creator of the original NBA Jam now works for EA and is said to be collaborating on the project. This isn’t EA’s first time at a arcade basketball game, if you remember the “Street” series that EA used to do. Some of those were pretty good games and I am sure that this reboot is going to fill that void. It also could have to do with the success of the more arcade version of Madden that is available on the Wii. Remember this is just a rumor and we will post when more concrete details emerge.

YES!!! This world has gone without NBA Jam long enough. A new version with Kobe & Pau would be amazing! Lebron and Shaq… KG and Ray… Mello and, dare I say, Birdman!? Fantastic. Hopefully, this rumor turns into reality.
