Half-Minute Hero Is Teaming Up With One Life Left

So here was something interesting that sort of pertains to video games; Rising Star Games, the makers of Half-Minute Hero has announced today ‘Half-Minute HerOLLs.’ This is a four-part audio experiment that is set out to create the world’s fastest gaming news… huh? This experiment will be running for four weeks from 9th February until the 8th of March, and it will combine all the weeks news in a short 30 second segment. The show will be available free to One Life Left iTunes subscribers every Tuesday morning and you will also be able to stream it from Rising Star Games Hoshi site at www.risingstargames.com/hoshi. Continue reading for more information about this crazy idea of a radio show.

“Simon was playing Half-Minute Hero around the same time as we were all discussing what we should do during the break between seasons,” says Ann Scantlebury, news reader, One Life Left. “Well here’s proof we really shouldn’t drink: what was clearly a ridiculous idea has quickly become reality, and we’re going to try to sum up the week’s most important gaming news, in just 30 seconds. Given the theme tune lasts 28 seconds, that’s going to be quite a challenge.”

“This is another example of how Half-Minute Hero has captured the imagination of game-players the world over,” adds Martin Defries, managing director, Rising Star Games. “We’re delighted to be working with the best games broadcast in the country on what should hopefully be the audio equivalent of the most inventive games around and prove that an idea that shouldn’t quite work on paper, is brilliant in reality.”

So it looks like it pertains to Half-Minute Hero because you have to play that entire game in just 30 seconds… every time. The games battles were my favorite part which just consisted of the player and enemy running into repeatedly until one or the others health was depleted. If this sounds interesting to you be sure to check out the first Half-Minute HerOLL which will be available on Tuesday 9th February 2010. Also be sure to check outHalf-Minute Hero on the PlayStation Portable on Friday 12th February 2010.
