LEGO Star Wars III The Clone Wars Announced
We should have seen this coming with the second installment of Indiana Jones, LEGO Star Wars is getting its next chapter centered around the Clone Wars. The press release from today claims it will have brand new gameplay and it will be the most action-packed LEGO game to date. Now I’m not one to complain, but I do believe I have played a large portion of these games and they are all basically the same thing with different skins, but I’m always up for trying new things, so hopefully this won’t disappoint.
These LEGO games seem to be a huge hit which has brought in a combined sales of over 20 million units worldwide. The Director of Travelers Tales had this to say: “LucasArts is an amazing partner, and working with them on the next iteration of the LEGO® Star Wars series continues to be a great experience,” said Tom Stone, director at TT Games. “The team at TT is working hard at making this simply the best LEGO® game ever with all new gameplay and features never before seen in a LEGO game.”
This new game has been announced to include all the characters from both seasons of the popular Clone Wars cartoon. The game will feature an upgraded level builder and all new battles modes that should make head-to-head play much more interesting. I’m sure if you are a fan of the LEGO games, you can’t go wrong with this but gamers looking for something a bit more hardcore might want to look out for other Star Wars games coming out (there are plenty.)
