Well then, I believe we’re all getting excited for Halo Reach coming out here soon. Game Informer just did a cover story and released some juicy details for everyone. Trying to spread the news as far and wide as possible, here’s what I’ve gathered. Maybe you’ve read it before, maybe you haven’t, but here’s a quick run-down for info.
Maybe it’s just me, but I love DLC for games. The idea of extra content for my favorite games, new stuff to play, is always good for me. Since I’ve heard the name, Bayonetta has caught my eye. Aside from the fact that it’s a sexy witch firing guns into enemies being slaughtered, it just has a certain style and flair to it that I enjoy. Now the demo has hit Xbox Live and the PSN for people to enjoy just a small taste of what to expect from this game. As I describe this, I’m going to assume you’ve already read about the game. The people that made Peggle and Plant vs. Zombies working together with the creators of Final Fantasy, that is what we call win. It has to be good, right?
Good ol’ portable gaming. When has a portable system not been handy? Every incarnation of the GameBoy has gone with me everywhere. I’ve been a long fan of Phantasy Star Online. While I didn’t come from the days of it on Dreamcast, I put many hours of my life into the GameCube version. A few years later, I no longer have a GameCube, and the game that I once was borrowing is now gone. Never really got the chance to play Phantasy Star Universe either, but you could probably imagine my joy once I found out about Phantasy Star Zero on the DS. The Defense of the Ancients is probably the most well known Warcraft scenario, making its debut in Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. Since that time, its popularity has skyrocketed and the game type is a well-known tournament game. League of Legends is a game coming from the same team that put together DotA, now working with Riot Games to push it out. While I haven’t had experience with the original game, I can safely say League of Legends has a lot to live up to.
The Caribbean journey is nearing its climatic finish. We’ve followed our protagonist across the seas as he collects the items he needs to get La Esponja Grande. The DSi hasn’t been out for long and now we’re already looking at another version of it. The US version has been out since earlier this year, same for Europe; so really this doesn’t seem like a short time frame for Japan where it has been out since early November of 2008. By now, everyone knows about the Kingdom Hearts series. A game series that dared to mix Final Fantasy with Disney…and then took the world by storm. With the expanding story line, come more questions asked. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is one of two new KH games coming to hand-helds within the next few years. This one focusing on the time frame between KH1 and two, expending and referencing Chain of Memories. Due to the nature of it being on DS, several things were changed and remade. Within the past couple of months, I have become addicted to the Monkey Island setting and series, and Telltale Games has been my supplier for my Caribbean sojourn.
