Just a little heads up out there for all Steam AND Mac fans. Valve just announced today (March 8th, 2010) that Steam will be coming to Macs. Valve has decided that instead of emulating games, they’ll use the Mac to make “native” games to the system. Along with that, Steam users that already have bought games on Windows, won’t have to worry about re-buying them for Macs. Instead, a new feature called “Steam Play” will allow people to download them free of charge. Something else to note is that heavy hitting Valve games (Half-Life 2, Left 4 Dead, etc) will be launching with Steam. After the release of Portal 2, ALL Steam games will launch on Mac AND Windows simultaneously. For now Mac users, you’ll have to wait till April for Steam, but at least it’s a official. Time to celebrate!

Age of Zombies is one of those kinds of games that started with Asteroids: shoot at enemies in swarming directions. Of course they’ve evolved since then, and Age of Zombies fits rather nicely into this niche. However, I wouldn’t exactly say it’s a good representation of the genre. Hit the link for more.

Don’t be tricked by the title, it’s merely the words I’m using to describe my analysis of Mass Effect 2. It’s a no-brainer that the sequel would have various improvements and new control schemes. However, are all of these improvements or are some of them faux pas? Hit the link for my humble critique and opinion of ME2.

Hopefully, you’ll find this list handy to keep track of upcoming DLC for your consoles.

Since I’ve heard the name, Bayonetta has caught my eye. Aside from the fact that it’s a sexy witch firing guns into enemies being slaughtered, it just has a certain style and flair to it that I enjoy. Now the demo has hit Xbox Live and the PSN for people to enjoy just a small taste of what to expect from this game. As I describe this, I’m going to assume you’ve already read about the game. If you haven’t, read about it first, then read this. Have you done so? Good, now hit the link for more.

Pop Cap Games and Square Enix made a game. Pop Cap Games and Square Enix made a game. POP CAP GAMES AND SQUARE ENIX MADE A GAME! Now that I’ve gotten that point across, you can imagine my expectations and thoughts behind Gyromancer. The people that made Peggle and Plant vs. Zombies working together with the creators of Final Fantasy, that is what we call win. It has to be good, right?

Good ol’ portable gaming. When has a portable system not been handy? Every incarnation of the GameBoy has gone with me everywhere. Christmas with the family, Thanksgiving with the family, long car rides, horrible shopping trips; my handheld has always kept me entertained. Yet, sometimes it’s hard to find a good game for it. Thus, I have decided to compile my own list of the upcoming DS and PSP games to watch out for. At least in my opinion that is, so hit the link to read on!

I’ve been a long fan of Phantasy Star Online. While I didn’t come from the days of it on Dreamcast, I put many hours of my life into the GameCube version. A few years later, I no longer have a GameCube, and the game that I once was borrowing is now gone. Never really got the chance to play Phantasy Star Universe either, but you could probably imagine my joy once I found out about Phantasy Star Zero on the DS. Hit the link to find out my thoughts on the newest game into the Phantasy Star series.

The Defense of the Ancients is probably the most well known Warcraft scenario, making its debut in Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. Since that time, its popularity has skyrocketed and the game type is a well-known tournament game. League of Legends is a game coming from the same team that put together DotA, now working with Riot Games to push it out. While I haven’t had experience with the original game, I can safely say League of Legends has a lot to live up to.
