We should have seen this coming with the second installment of Indiana Jones, LEGO Star Wars is getting its next chapter centered around the Clone Wars. The press release from today claims it will have brand new gameplay and it will be the most action-packed LEGO game to date. Now I’m not one to complain, but I do believe I have played a large portion of these games and they are all basically the same thing with different skins, but I’m always up for trying new things, so hopefully this won’t disappoint.

Not much going on this week in the land of video games. While there aren’t many games releasing there are still a few of them that are worth checking out. Star Trek Online, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. , and White Knight Chronicles are all fairly big releases and all have the potential to be great games. Although, it might be best to save your money for next week considering that Bioshock 2 and Dante’s Inferno are both releasing!
Here are the games for this week!

Well this week there are a TON of games getting released along with a couple of DLC packs. The biggest being Mass Effect 2, MAG and the first DLC for Assassin’s Creed II. I personally have been looking forward to ME2 for a long time and all these other games are getting put on hold for that. Although if you have a PS3 MAG is definitely worth looking into. Since it is a game based around online multiplayer it would probably be a good idea to wait a week or so to jump in because there will more than likely be server issues. On the Wii side of things we have the fan favorite No More Heroes 2. So for you Wii fans heres a hardcore game that might pull you away from wii fit and whatever else it is you do with that thing… Check out the rest of the games below!

As if you didn’t have enough Pokemon figures to begin with, Nintendo is offering you more if you pre-order the new Heart Gold/Soul Silver games. These remakes of the Pokemon Gold and Silver sure do bring back some great memories. Although, this might be the first time I actually skip a Pokemon release. I want something new Nintendo, I know that concept is extremely hard to grasp but please do something new with this RPG franchise! So if you NEED your Lugia and HO-OH figures go pre-order

This week in games brings a plethora of titles I have never heard of. The biggest game this week is probably Dark Void coming out for 360, PS3 and PC. Another big game is Death By Cube developed by Square Enix. For you PSP owners out there you get your first chance to play Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. So there you go, this week isn’t bad but next week will be even better with Mass Effect 2!

Another year in gaming has finally come to pass, and I”m not sure that I could really ask for a better one. The year started out with fantastic releases, continued to shovel them out through the summer, and ended the year with a crucial big-bang of best-sellers to knock us all on our butts. I can safetly say that this has been one of the best (and most anticipated) years in gaming to hit us in a long time. I purchased so many games that I’ve yet to complete them all. However, the main answer to the question we all want to ask remains to be seen. In a year chock-full of amazing games, which one reigns supreme above the rest? Here are the top three picks from some of Resume Play’s staff for 2009’s Game of the Year award +Continue Reading

Yes, you read that title correctly. The guys over at The Speed Gamers are using the world of Pokemon to help raise money for Ally’s House, a children’s cancer foundation based in Oklahoma.

Good ol’ portable gaming. When has a portable system not been handy? Every incarnation of the GameBoy has gone with me everywhere. Christmas with the family, Thanksgiving with the family, long car rides, horrible shopping trips; my handheld has always kept me entertained. Yet, sometimes it’s hard to find a good game for it. Thus, I have decided to compile my own list of the upcoming DS and PSP games to watch out for. At least in my opinion that is, so hit the link to read on!

D3Publisher announced today the sequel to the highly addictive Puzzle Quest game that combined weapons, spells, and many other medieval weaponry into a puzzle adventure game. Puzzle Quest is played like a match-3 style but blends fantasy elements into it. You control one of four character classes including: War Mage, Inquisitor, Barbarian, or Assassin as they try to reclaim the village of Verloren which has been taken over by some demon named Gorgon (love that name). So of course, the one way to claim the village as yours is to throw colored blocks at each other and make the opponent lose (isn’t that how wars are fought?)
Not much has been announced for the game including if it will contain new features or modes, but they are shooting for a Spring 2010 release for the Xbox 360 and the Nintendo DS. Check after the break for screenshots and artwork of the 360 version.

I’ve been a long fan of Phantasy Star Online. While I didn’t come from the days of it on Dreamcast, I put many hours of my life into the GameCube version. A few years later, I no longer have a GameCube, and the game that I once was borrowing is now gone. Never really got the chance to play Phantasy Star Universe either, but you could probably imagine my joy once I found out about Phantasy Star Zero on the DS. Hit the link to find out my thoughts on the newest game into the Phantasy Star series.

System Flaw’, the first ‘augmented reality shooter’ is coming out for DSi. It’s an innovative FPS that makes use of the built in camera to play. Players will be able to completely immerse their world into the world of gaming, and vice-versa. Oh, and did I mention this was a DSi game?

The DSi hasn’t been out for long and now we’re already looking at another version of it. The US version has been out since earlier this year, same for Europe; so really this doesn’t seem like a short time frame for Japan where it has been out since early November of 2008. Nothing bad about that though, who couldn’t use a brand spanking new DS? Hit the jump for the specs on the bigger sibling to the DSi.

What a weird idea this game is turning out to be; including characters like Iggy Pop (the perfect role model) and including songs the entire family will enjoy. Today the released the entire set list for the console and DS versions. Take a peek.

By now, everyone knows about the Kingdom Hearts series. A game series that dared to mix Final Fantasy with Disney…and then took the world by storm. With the expanding story line, come more questions asked. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is one of two new KH games coming to hand-helds within the next few years. This one focusing on the time frame between KH1 and two, expending and referencing Chain of Memories. Due to the nature of it being on DS, several things were changed and remade. Hit the link to read more.
