The trailer for the DS release of Shin Megami Tensei gives fans a glimpse on what they can expect out of this universe. This game has a release date of March 23rd for $34.99. A cool thing about the release is that the launch copies will be bundled with a bonus CD featuring music from the game at no additional cost. The trailer looks nice and fans of the series should put this on their wish list. Check out their official website for more info on the game here.
My return to Johto was an eventful one. I laughed, cried, screamed, and passed out more than a few times, but in the end, came to a conclusion that was rather surprising…So, is it still heart-worthy nearly a decade later? Hit the jump to find out… +Continue Reading

Nintendo is holding a big Media Summit today in San Francisco, and a lot of cool tidbits are coming out of it. They’ve announced release dates for 2 of the year’s biggest games, Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid: Other M. They’ve also released some new hardware news, with info and a launch date for the DSiXL and the new black Wii. Finally, we’ve got a release date for one of Wii-Ware’s most anticipated bite-sized games, Cave Story.
We should have seen this coming with the second installment of Indiana Jones, LEGO Star Wars is getting its next chapter centered around the Clone Wars. The press release from today claims it will have brand new gameplay and it will be the most action-packed LEGO game to date. Now I’m not one to complain, but I do believe I have played a large portion of these games and they are all basically the same thing with different skins, but I’m always up for trying new things, so hopefully this won’t disappoint. +Continue Reading
Not much going on this week in the land of video games. While there aren’t many games releasing there are still a few of them that are worth checking out. Star Trek Online, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. , and White Knight Chronicles are all fairly big releases and all have the potential to be great games. Although, it might be best to save your money for next week considering that Bioshock 2 and Dante’s Inferno are both releasing!
Well this week there are a TON of games getting released along with a couple of DLC packs. The biggest being Mass Effect 2, MAG and the first DLC for Assassin’s Creed II. I personally have been looking forward to ME2 for a long time and all these other games are getting put on hold for that. Although if you have a PS3 MAG is definitely worth looking into. Since it is a game based around online multiplayer it would probably be a good idea to wait a week or so to jump in because there will more than likely be server issues. On the Wii side of things we have the fan favorite No More Heroes 2. So for you Wii fans heres a hardcore game that might pull you away from wii fit and whatever else it is you do with that thing… Check out the rest of the games below!
As if you didn’t have enough Pokemon figures to begin with, Nintendo is offering you more if you pre-order the new Heart Gold/Soul Silver games. These remakes of the Pokemon Gold and Silver sure do bring back some great memories. Although, this might be the first time I actually skip a Pokemon release. I want something new Nintendo, I know that concept is extremely hard to grasp but please do something new with this RPG franchise! So if you NEED your Lugia and HO-OH figures go pre-order
This week in games brings a plethora of titles I have never heard of. The biggest game this week is probably Dark Void coming out for 360, PS3 and PC. Another big game is Death By Cube developed by Square Enix. For you PSP owners out there you get your first chance to play Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. So there you go, this week isn’t bad but next week will be even better with Mass Effect 2!
This week’s games have a little something for everyone. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney for the Wii, The Sims 2: Fun with Pets for PC, and of course Army of Two 40th Day for Xbox 360 and PS3. Another notable game releasing is Serious Sam HD for Xbox 360. This is just the beginning of a crazy next few months so get your wallets ready!

Another year in gaming has finally come to pass, and I”m not sure that I could really ask for a better one. The year started out with fantastic releases, continued to shovel them out through the summer, and ended the year with a crucial big-bang of best-sellers to knock us all on our butts. I can safetly say that this has been one of the best (and most anticipated) years in gaming to hit us in a long time. I purchased so many games that I’ve yet to complete them all. However, the main answer to the question we all want to ask remains to be seen. In a year chock-full of amazing games, which one reigns supreme above the rest? Here are the top three picks from some of Resume Play’s staff for 2009’s Game of the Year award +Continue Reading
Yes, you read that title correctly. The guys over at The Speed Gamers are using the world of Pokemon to help raise money for Ally’s House, a children’s cancer foundation based in Oklahoma.
