We told you that we’d have more details, and here they are. Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light was just shown off at the Game Developer’s Conference, so we’ve got tons of details. The biggest news? A change of gameplay styles for the lady tomb raider, and the inclusion of co-op! Hit the jump for the full preview.
Street Fighter came back last year stronger than ever showing that 2-D fighters are still popular and still looking damn good. The last character got announced today looking completely ridiculous and could be a nice addition to the roster. Many are looking bad at this game wondering why people bought the inferior version and didn’t wait out for this one but it looks like the game will have enough to justify its reduced price of $39.99. Is Hakan supposed to be a devilish character with his red skin or is he just pumped too many steroids into his body; the guy looks a bit ridiculous…
Well, lets go ahead and get the big news out of the way which is the support for the PlayStation 3 Motion Controller. Tiger Woods already has a firm release date of June 8th (My B-day ) coming out on the Wii, Xbox 360, PS3, and iPhone. Also included is the game which is the chance to bring home the Ryder Cup; I don’t know much about sports but it seems to be a big deal in the sport of Golf. Tiger Woods seems to be a great game on about any system it comes out for and should continue with this entry. Oh one more thing to note is that Rory McIlroy will be sharing the cover of the game; I’m sure it has nothing to do with the recent scandals surrounding Tiger… I’m sure of it. Check after the break for screenshots from the game and a video showcasing how to use the Wii version with the WiiMote. +Continue Reading
Bad Company 2 has some serious competition, having arrived after the likes of the Modern Warfare series and the epic story that it told through the single player. Bad Company is up for the challenge, making a game that is vastly superior to the first while poking fun of the competition which helps set the mood that is the Bad Company atmosphere. Dice knows how to make a fun multiplayer experience, but the single player of the first bogged the title down and didn’t make the dent it needed to be that great title that gamers talk about for years. I can safely say Bad Company 2 is overall a better game, making the story more enjoyable to play through and creating a new layer to the multiplayer to keep you coming back for more. +Continue Reading
You heard it right, there’s a new music game on the block. It’s called Power Gig: Rise of the SixString, and it hopes to upstage the Guitar Hero and Rock Band franchises with some major innovations. Chief among these are the game’s peripherals, which will have dual functionality as game controllers and actual instruments.
The developers, Seven 45 Studio, have only unveiled the guitar so far, but its already creating quite a buzz. Aptly named, the SixString controller has 6 actual guitar strings and can function like a normal guitar when plugged into an amp. But it also has the familiar colored buttons behind the strings (6 though, not 5), so it can be played in a similar manner to the existing guitar controllers. The addition of the strings isn’t just for the dual functionality though; the gameplay will also let you use the strings to play a far more realistic music game than ever before.

Well, Fallout New Vegas now has some gameplay screenshots. Surprise, it looks A LOT like Fallout 3. I was really hoping for more color and glitz with it being in Vegas. But most of these screenshots look like more of those 3 shades of brown that Fallout 3 had. Color me disappointed. Check out the screens below!

It seems like there haven’t been many western video games in the last couple generations. There was Gun a few years ago and most recently there was Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood released just this past summer. This May you’ll be able to experience a sandbox style Western that makes use of the same engine applied in Grand Theft Auto 4 (Euphoria and RAGE) from Rockstar San Diego. The game has been compared to GTA4 and has even been called “Grand Theft Horse” because of the unique cast of characters you will meet on the course of playing the game and that it’s basically a Grand Theft Auto game set in the Wild West. Not much has been said about the large mass of land you will be able to embark on in the game, but what we know is that it’s going to be even bigger than what we saw in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.
After a lot of complaints and disputes Microsoft has taken a proactive step and is giving users the ability to list their race, religion, and sexual orientation in their Gamertags and profiles. In months past there were numerous complaints from Live Users being banned for having these things on their account and not in an offensive manner.
Microsoft has done a pretty great thing here, they looked at their policy, realized it needed to be changed to accommodate these people and they changed it. Typically large businesses usually don’t budge in these situations but Microsoft has always listened to their users and made changes accordingly.
