When you first start playing Borderlands, a few things will cross your mind. The first is the similarity between it and Fallout 3. However, besides the whole apocalyptic setting and some similar level up/game-play, there are quite a few discernible differences. In my personal opinion, one of the greatest things about the game is the quirky dialogue throughout the whole thing. This dialogue comes from interactive characters that give you side missions, plot info, and also random one liners from enemies and your playable character.
Infinity Ward and Activision have had a lot of bad press lately because of the decision to sell Modern Warfare 2 in the UK for £55. After walking around two busy cities today I thought I would try to find a retailer selling it for that price.
It is no shocker that for the most part, girlfriends and video games don’t quite get along. Every now and then you may acquire a significant other who isn’t bothered by any video game, and of course there are always games like Super Mario Kart that appeals to both genders. Then there are … other games. Games that girls will despise. Games that girlfriends will curse forever and banish to the bowels of hell. Everybody already knows this game is going to destroy. Companies make release date decisions based on this series. The popularity that was Modern Warfare wasn’t expected but was met with such success that a sequel was bound to happen. Modern Warfare 2 seems to be taking all the right decisions a sequel should take. Multiplayer is getting updated a lot more than what I was expecting, which what I was expecting was COD 4 multiplayer with new maps, but the new implementations sound awesome. Let’s take a look at this monstrosity of a game and see what all the fuss is about.

GTA III Introduced Players to the Idea of an Open World Sandbox
With the dawn of the new century came the dawn of a new console, the Playstation 2. A significant upgrade over its earlier iteration, the system provided developers with the power they needed to develop more involving and expansive games.
Released in 2001, Grand Theft Auto III was the first game to truly harness the power the system had to offer, and create something unique for the time. Leaving behind the 2D boundaries of its earlier brethren, GTA III took the series into 3D, and gave gamers their first true taste of an Open World Sandbox. With the arrival of the new console generation, the idea has been pushed further and further, and more and more classic franchises are taking up the mantle of “Open World Games.” The question is, are Open World Games really the future, or will they forever be hindered by their reduced ability to tell a potent story?

It's BACK!!!
News just keeps pouring out of GDC. This time its from Activision/Infinity Ward with the announcement of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. NO WAY!!! Did you really think they wouldn’t make a sequel? We get a trailer and a release date of November 11th this Fall. If you look closely at the trailer you may see some hidden images. For instance there is something that looks like the Christs Redeemer statue that resides in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Does this mean it will take place there? Who knows, but I am sure we will find out soon enough.
@tabbwabb yea. Fantastic indeed. It is a game where, for good or bad, the ending makes u accept the consequences of your choices. EPIC.
