A throwback to the old amazing video game commercials we don’t get the privilege of seeing anymore because commercials for video games are nothing but CGI scenes that don’t show anything from the game. I would rather see this kid’s TV attack him; Capcom really knows how to tickle your retro spot with throwbacks like these. Has anybody actually seen this ran on TV? Please leave feedback if you have. GET MEGA THIS MARCH.
Whoa, what a great looking game this is turning out to be. This new trailer shows off some nice looking environments ranging from desert, forestry, and even back to some snowy climates. It starts off a bit slow showing off the CGI cutscenes but it picks up halfway through where it starts into new details. After some brief gameplay, it details their customization options of the characters, goes into some new weapons, and ends with a wide arrange of the enemies you will be facing. To make things simple, watch this trailer because it is damn gorgeous.
Street Fighter came back last year stronger than ever showing that 2-D fighters are still popular and still looking damn good. The last character got announced today looking completely ridiculous and could be a nice addition to the roster. Many are looking bad at this game wondering why people bought the inferior version and didn’t wait out for this one but it looks like the game will have enough to justify its reduced price of $39.99. Is Hakan supposed to be a devilish character with his red skin or is he just pumped too many steroids into his body; the guy looks a bit ridiculous…
With how successful Mega Man 9 was, a sequel was sure to be announced. I’m glad they continue to do games like this, but I almost feel like this is a little soon. Still though, we can’t have too many Mega Man games now can we. Originally leaked out of a screenshot from a Nintendo Power magazine, Mega man 10 will continue the old school retro platforming gameplay that we all know and love/get frustrated with. Skepticism was initially sparked that it would only be coming to the Wii but Capcom’s press release squished that rumor; it will also be coming to the PS3 and the Xbox 360 (thank god I can play on the 360 with that amazing d-pad of theirs).
So what’s new with this entry. Mega Man 10 is set in 20XX where a crazy robot flu named Roboenza is spread out that will bring the robots to their knees. All the robots in the city are servants to the humans (lazy humans) that get Roboenza. The robots goes crazy and hold the city hostage which means its up to Mega Man to take out all the sick robots (including the hilariously named sheep man). This game will feature an Easy Mode which should help the new fans that want to start the Mega Man series with this one, the ability to play as Proto Man from the beginning without gamers feeling nickel and dimed with DLC, and a new mode called Challenges that sounds like practice stages to help with the main game. The press release contains no release date, but in the meantime check out these high resolution screenshots all in their 8-bit glory +Continue Reading
In the year of 2009, there has been a bold statement made about the new generation of gaming. I’m not talking about a statement of graphics, storyline, or game-play. I’m also not talking about a statement of what’s going to win the best game of the year. I’m talking about a statement made by a website to the video gaming world declaring that the creators of some of the best games of 2009 are using subliminal racism in their top-selling titles. I’m here to give my thoughts on this declaration. +Continue Reading
Capcom release another trailer here highlighting their intentions for the latest add-on to the Street Fighter IV series, but is it really enough to be worthy of it’s own gaming spotlight? Street Fighter games have always been known for their updates; so this is indeed keeping with tradition, and it was inevitable to happen once more. Many would argue that these features aren’t enough to warrant their own game, and that Capcom should of considered the DLC option. While that statement has truth to it, this isn’t the end of the content; more shall follow in the coming months as has already in fact. It is all a matter of opinion concerning this argument, but one thing is certain; the game has a lot more to prove that it’s predecessor had to this time round.
A little over three years ago, Capcom infected the United States with the living dead in the form of a challenging, hack and slash, survival-horror game known as Dead Rising. In a small town of Colorado, the dead start coming back to life, and a cool, easy-to-like photo-journalist named Frank West is dropped off on top of the mall to cover the happening. However, with insane serial killers hiding out in the mall, injured mall walkers, and about 53,000 zombies…Frank bites off more than he can chew. After a huge success from the game, Capcom gave the green light to develop a second game due out for the first quarter of 2010. I’m sure most gamers can expect another repetitive survival hack-and-slash sequel, but after digging into some research, I’ve gathered some great insight on what Capcom is going to give us to keep us hooked on the Dead Rising franchise. +Continue Reading
It was announced a while ago that Capcom’s popular beat ‘em up franchise would grace the PC with it’s presence, but up until recently the requirements to run it were a blur. Personally I won’t be tempted, unless of course T-Hawk and Dee-Jay make an appearance, in which case sold. Obviously high-end PC’s will have no problem, but check below to see if your computer can handle the fight with both the minimum and/or recommended settings.
You are going to be confused with the title of this article and what will follow. I’m not much of a fighting game aficionado but I do appreciate them and will play many of them but only for a short amount of time. One thing to know about me is if I play games with a friend, its over the internet, its not local. Much to my dismay when I downloaded this highly anticipated game demo, the game is only local multiplayer ONLY. What the hell, how am I supposed to play this demo, I don’t even own a second PS3 controller because their $55 freaking dollars.
I always declare Capcom as top of their game but this is borderline stupid on their part. I understand its just a demo of some older fighting game, but somebody had to code this demo and that person got paid money. They couldn’t even let us fight the computer? It even tricks you into thinking it has an online mode within this demo, but when you click on it you get a screen filled with text, THIS ISN’T AN RPG GUYS!!! Now that I’m done venting, I’m going to download the Bionic Commando demo… hope it isn’t as craptastic as this is.
So the news finally broke that Marvel VS Capcom 2 will be heading the XBLA and PSN which isn’t entirely shocking news; this has been rumored for a while. This is amazing for fighting fans as it is hailed as one of the best often being compared to Street Fighter 2. The game features a total of 56 brawlers both from the Capcom and Marvel universes, including favorites like Jill Valentine from Resident Evil and Mega Man from… well the Mega Man series as well as many of your favorite Marvel characters. The game will be delivered to your consoles sometime this summer for 1200 Microsoft points for the Xbox 360 and $15 bucks for the PSN.
