
Another year in gaming has finally come to pass, and I”m not sure that I could really ask for a better one. The year started out with fantastic releases, continued to shovel them out through the summer, and ended the year with a crucial big-bang of best-sellers to knock us all on our butts. I can safetly say that this has been one of the best (and most anticipated) years in gaming to hit us in a long time. I purchased so many games that I’ve yet to complete them all. However, the main answer to the question we all want to ask remains to be seen. In a year chock-full of amazing games, which one reigns supreme above the rest? If you were around when I wrote up a preview for this game you may remember that I had pretty high expectations for it. After a slew of sleepless nights in front of my PlayStation and time spent looking at character builds online, I have come to my final conclusion on BioWare’s dark fantasy RPG. What makes this game so hard to come to a solid conclusion on is that for the most part, the content is there, it can just be difficult to use. Features are a plenty but often you’ll find yourself straining to use them, or disappointed that the game has made some decisions for you.

Lately, RPG fans have received more then their fair share of games. With Borderlands just released in what feels like days after Demon’s Souls, and games like the Final Fantasy 13 trilogy constantly looming in the shadows, its hard not to feel a little overwhelmed. Unfortunately, or fortunately, Dragon Age: Origins is shaping up to being an RPG your not going to want to push to the side.
