New Tiger Woods 11 Details & Screenshots

Well, lets go ahead and get the big news out of the way which is the support for the PlayStation 3 Motion Controller. Tiger Woods already has a firm release date of June 8th (My B-day :) ) coming out on the Wii, Xbox 360, PS3, and iPhone. Also included is the game which is the chance to bring home the Ryder Cup; I don’t know much about sports but it seems to be a big deal in the sport of Golf. Tiger Woods seems to be a great game on about any system it comes out for and should continue with this entry. Oh one more thing to note is that Rory McIlroy will be sharing the cover of the game; I’m sure it has nothing to do with the recent scandals surrounding Tiger… I’m sure of it. Check after the break for screenshots from the game and a video showcasing how to use the Wii version with the WiiMote.

EA Discontinues NCAA Basketball Series

The NCAA games have never been huge sellers but have always done well. With 2k stopping production on their College Basketball game it is sort of surprising that EA, having no other competition, would also stop producing. There has been some recent controversy and even legislation against NCAA games and the usage of the college players likenesses. It should be interesting to see what happens with the NCAA and the gaming front and if EA will also continue their NCAA Football series.

EA sets release windows for a BUNCH of games!

EA had a quarterly conference call today where they talked about upcoming games and when they would be releasing. With every thing from a new Dragon Age to EA sports active being discussed it was a pretty packed.

First up is Dragon Age. Yep Bioware is apparently busy building it and Mass Effect 3. Both of which are getting slated in the “early” 2011 range. It may seem like a lot but Bioware has proven with both games that it is capable of building great games.

Next up is the Medal of Honor reboot. This is gonna be a huge game for EA if it does well and steals some of that Modern Warfare crowd. Along with the new MoH is APB. The long talked about MMO is finally getting a release window of Summer 2010!

Also getting release dates are Ea Sports Active, Crysis 2, Sims 3 (Consoles), and NBA Jam all got set for Holiday 2010

Risk: Factions announced for XBLA

According to a EA press release today, Risk: Factions is coming to Xbox Live Arcade in early 2010. From the same developers of Magic the Gathering for XBLA, Risk: Factions is supposed to have “new gameplay features” and challenge new and old Risk players. “We’re now going to bring that masterpiece experience to life and add other amazing layers of XBLA-style gameplay that will take conquests to a new level, including the ability to battle players from around the globe for the first time, truly giving new meaning to the phrase world domination,” said Chip Lange, Senior Vice President and General Manager of EA’s Hasbro Division. Rumor: New NBA Jam coming from EA

Rumors have been flying and ESPN reports that EA sports has acquired the NBA Jam license and is working on a new NBA Jam. The catch is that according to the report it is only going to be available on the Wii. Although, there are other reports which suggest the game will also get the XBLA and PSN treatment along with a Wii retail release. The creator of the original NBA Jam now works for EA and is said to be collaborating on the project. This isn’t EA’s first time at a arcade basketball game, if you remember the “Street” series that EA used to do. Some of those were pretty good games and I am sure that this reboot is going to fill that void. It also could have to do with the success of the more arcade version of Madden that is available on the Wii. Remember this is just a rumor and we will post when more concrete details emerge.

Dragon Age DLC Return To Ostagar Coming January 5th

We all knew it was coming, but wasn’t sure when until today BioWare announces the DLC Return To Ostagar will be available on January 5th in North America and Europe. Good news is that it’s set at a reasonable price of five dollars; the downside is that PS3 gamers will have to wait until sometime in late January to get this game (no word on the Mac version). This package will continue the adventure through Ostagar to help reclaim the honor and learn all about Ferelden’s fallen king… huh? Maybe I should play this game first. They have wasted no time in showing support for this game with DLC even though the game takes approximately 10,000 hours to beat. But hey, too much of a good thing doesn’t make it bad, it just makes it awesome.

Limited Edition Battlefield Bad Company 2

battlefieldbc2pic1

This shouldn’t shock anyone that DICE announced a limited edition to one of the highly anticipated shooters of 2010. So what do you get out of the special features? This edition features six gameplay unlocks that you get the moment you turn the game on; much like the lvl. 65 gun on Call of Duty: World at War when you preorder it, you got it once you fired up the multiplayer. Look for the game in North America on March 2, 2010 and in Europe on March 5, 2010. Hit the jump for info and pics on the unlocks.

iPhone showing some muscle

This really isn’t a review or preview but more of just a “fly over” of some of the  iPhone games that are available from just a couple of developers on the AppStore.  Keep in mind I just found these, these aren’t really advertised, for what reason I am unaware. I’ll stop now, just take a quick look and some of these dirt cheap games.

Mass Effect: Jacobs Story for iPhone

meiphone
Mass Effect is one of my favorite RPG’s of all time. Bioware and EA have now decided to move Mass Effect onto the rapidly growing iPhone. The strangest part of this announcement is that nothing has been said about a DS or PSP version. Are companies already starting to skip over the two handhelds for Steve Job’s sexy cell phone?
