When you first start playing Borderlands, a few things will cross your mind. The first is the similarity between it and Fallout 3. However, besides the whole apocalyptic setting and some similar level up/game-play, there are quite a few discernible differences. In my personal opinion, one of the greatest things about the game is the quirky dialogue throughout the whole thing. This dialogue comes from interactive characters that give you side missions, plot info, and also random one liners from enemies and your playable character.

With Borderlands just on the horizon for release and Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition just hitting shelves, it is no wonder that the two titles have been in the recent spotlight, often on opposite sides of one another. Yes, both games feature Post Apocalyptic settings, first person perspectives, and rpg elements, but people, that is where the brute of their similarities stop. This week for my random list of a few things to assure me that the geeks/nerds of the world are still alive and strong, I rounded up a couple of things I stumbled upon and found to be way cool. I know there are thousands of things out there for your home, but these are the ones I feel, as a gamer, that are super geeky/must haves for my eventual 18-bedroom castle I hope to one day own. (Also in this castle there will be an entire floor dedicated to being an arcade room, a beef jerky dispenser, and a full staff dressed as peasants from medieval times at all times- that’s another story though.) Here are my top 10 items of choice for this week, in no particular order.
