Astro Gaming Announces A30 Cross Platform Headset

Astro Gaming has in my opinion the best gaming headset on the market with their A40 system. I own one and the quality and performance of the headset is just amazing. Astro announced a new for “on the go” and cross platform use in their A30 headset. This headset is compatible with your PC, your iPhone, Xbox, PS3, DS, and PSP. Having a headset that can offer so much versatility is something that any gadget freak would be interested in. Even better is that the A30 can still be connected to the Astro Mix Amp and can offer 5.1 Dolby Digital.

Dofus 2.0 Major Makeover

Everyone knows Dofus has been showing its age in the MMORPG community and recently it got the upgrades it deserved, at visually speaking. Unlike most updates where various content is added to a game, Dofus 2.0 improved upon graphics and interface of all the existing content currently in the game. This also includes a few tweaks to the overall progression and mechanics of the game to make it a bit easier on the player. Unfortunately veterans will not be able to see their old characters in their brand new characters model as 2.0 is being hosted on entirely different servers then its predecessor 1.29 so all players have to start from scratch if they plan on playing in the prettier world of 2.0. Below is a list of a few things that stood out most to me as a played after the big update.

For the love of….. Gaming! Part 1

Disclaimer: Nothing should be taken seriously in this article

Lame Gaming

Eighteen years ago, gaming was an entirely different experience. Of course, back then I was 4 years old, played with an upside down controller and had just started to truly gain control of my motor skills. Yet it seems like things have wound down a path of simplicity and un-originality. It’s difficult to compare games from NES, Genesis, and SNES to the current generation but if you consider the amount of effort and dedication it took to complete a gameor start to have nightmares about the impossible ones, (Maximum Carnage, Battletoads, Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts) I find it disappointing that there aren‘t many games that are that challenging anymore; but most of all I haven’t seen any new ideas or anything in a video game for a long time.

5 Uncomfortable Moments in Gaming

Videogames truly can be considered a form of art. Like most art forms, games are often successful in evoking emotion from gamers from all backgrounds. Typically games are praised for delivering these emotions, whether it be thrills, tears, or laughs, but there are a handful of games that (hopefully unintentionally) make us squirm with discomfort. This is a list of five of them.

Five movie/book plots that COULD make great games.

30daysheader

It is no secret to the gaming world that games based on movies…for the most part, suck horribly. I can’t count on two hands the amount of games that are crapped out into the gaming industry and stockpiled onto the shelves of our favorite over-pricing electronic retail stores. These aren’t just games shelled out to make money for blockbuster summer hits like Iron Man, and Pirates of the Caribbean. I’m talking about games that are awful movies, and make the unsurprising transition into awful game. These games appear on every system, from Charlie’s Angels on PS2, to Lethal Weapon on NES. I think there is a major problem with the way the games are made, but I also think that if you’re going to make a video-game based on a movie or story, it should be one that would transfer over well. Here are five movie/story plots that could make excellent games if designed correctly.

What You Might Not Know About This Gaming Icon

questionmarksignI was 6 years old when I was taken from my family. While playing king of the hill in my school yard I was approached by a man and woman. They had seen me playing and were very impressed at how strong willed and intelligent I was. I wasn’t the strongest or the fastest it was my singular focus on winning that drew them to me.

RPGs You need to Play

rpgs-you-need-to-play

I didn’t want to do a conventional list this time around but rather a bunch of my favorite RPGs that any gamer should at least try. I wanted to keep the descriptions short and sweet with gamer keywords being the highlights that give the game its flavor and uniqueness.
