the past decade or so, comic book movies have been storming Hollywood and taking in record box office revenues. Hollywood has dabbled in video games for their silver screen failures in the past, but ever since comic books made it big, all of a sudden, it’s cool to be a shut in geek that sits in his/her house reading “funny books”, playing video games, and watching movies. To show my severe hatred for Hollywood touching my childhood like an internet predator, I wrote them a letter.

For a lot of you out there, the Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA) offerings are either too expensive or not appealing enough to warrant inclusion in your game collection. Personally, I look at the XBLA games as a great supplement to any gamer’s repertoire, as well as an opportunity to boost one’s gamerscore by up to 200 points per game. I own about 18 arcade games, and a lot of them were bought cheaper than you’d expect, at discount (Xbox has a weekly special and a “discount” bin of arcade games).

Action/Adventure/FPS/RPG and so on could not exist without you killing/engaging some sort of enemy. Of course, games recycle enemies over and over again, but there are some that stand out and could possibly never get old. I personally have lost all joy that I once had for this Sega mascot due to all the next gen crap out that didn’t retain what made Sonic games fun. The Sonic games on Genesis were great and the only ones that even got close to these were the Sonic Advance games for the GBA; that’s it. For some odd reason, Sega kept pushing Sonic into the 3D realm and with that they lost a lot of their sonic fans. After several failed attempts, Sega has decided to bring Sonic back to the 2D level in an all new game built from the ground up… so there you go fans. Read on to see my thoughts.

Everybody already knows this game is going to destroy. Companies make release date decisions based on this series. The popularity that was Modern Warfare wasn’t expected but was met with such success that a sequel was bound to happen. Modern Warfare 2 seems to be taking all the right decisions a sequel should take. Multiplayer is getting updated a lot more than what I was expecting, which what I was expecting was COD 4 multiplayer with new maps, but the new implementations sound awesome. Let’s take a look at this monstrosity of a game and see what all the fuss is about.

The PSP Go seems to have a lot going for it. Rumors were abound for it leading up to E3 where the Go was first announced along with its many new features. I for one am looking forward to the device but I’m stumped at some of the decisions made for it. Let’s take a look at five different reasons that’s holding the PSP Go back from being what it needs to be to capture the audience it’s reaching for. I want to also add that this is an opinion piece of mine and does not reflect the opinions of the other staff members.
