Review—Phantasy Star Zero

125226-phantasy-star-zero-box-art

I’ve been a long fan of Phantasy Star Online.  While I didn’t come from the days of it on Dreamcast, I put many hours of my life into the GameCube version.  A few years later, I no longer have a GameCube, and the game that I once was borrowing is now gone.  Never really got the chance to play Phantasy Star Universe either, but you could probably imagine my joy once I found out about Phantasy Star Zero on the DS.  Hit the link to find out my thoughts on the newest game into the Phantasy Star series.

By now, everyone knows about the Kingdom Hearts series.  A game series that dared to mix Final Fantasy with Disney…and then took the world by storm.  With the expanding story line, come more questions asked.  Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is one of two new KH games coming to hand-helds within the next few years.  This one focusing on the time frame between KH1 and two, expending and referencing Chain of Memories.  Due to the nature of it being on DS, several things were changed and remade.  Hit the link to read more.

Review—-Tales of Monkey Island: Lair of the Leviathan

Murrey Banner

Within the past couple of months, I have become addicted to the Monkey Island setting and series, and Telltale Games has been my supplier for my Caribbean sojourn.  As the pattern has become, I jumped up and down in ecstasy when I got this episode.  Did it live up to my expectations and is just as solid as the last games?  Hit the link to find out!

Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures: The Bogey Man!

untitled-1

Wallace and Gromit are considered by some, two of the best animated characters to come out of the UK. Icons, a British website, has stated that they’ve improved the image of England in quite a few ways. The majority of their animated shorts have won several awards. Is it any surprise that they have a very successful line of games as well? I don’t think so. Telltale games was so kind to give me yet another one of their games, which happens to be the newest Wallace and Gromit game. Hit the link to read more!

Review: Final Fantasy IV

fflogo

I love RPGs. I really, really do. So when you take a classic game like FFIV (or FF4, which is easier to type), and then place it on the DS, I’m obviously going to get a hold of it and play it. FF4 is one that has been remade several times, I mean, when it is argued by fans to be the best one of the 15 million, it becomes obvious why it is remade. This time around, the whole thing was redone: updated graphics, new names, voice acting and all that good jazz. So of course, I had to dive immediately in.

Review: Legendary (Xbox 360)

werewolf

What a scary pixelated werewolf, right? The creators of this game definitely got the name right. A legend is a story that people will remember forever, and I will positively remember this game forever as being one of the worst first-person shooters of all time. Click here to unlock Pandora’s box and release the infuriating, graphical error-ed, glitched evil inside. +Continue Reading

Review: Bully: Scholarship Edition (Xbox 360)

bullyheader

I’m tired of Grand Theft Auto games. To tell you the truth, I have been tired of them since GTA: Vice City. When Bully came out on PS2, I was relieved that it wasn’t another GTA game, but I was scared because it was basically using the same game-play engine. I didn’t want a GTA game in little kid format. I was tired of banging hookers and running over old ladies in the same dumb car race mission. I wanted something new, something fresh, and something that kept me coming back for me. I went after Bully like a fish grabbing a tasty worm, except I was rewarded with in my opinion, Rockstar’s greatest game. +Continue Reading
